Malaika Identity

A socially responsible producer of luxury linens, Malaika products are the handiwork of dozens of underprivileged women from rural and urban Egypt, who, through the company’s workshop, produce a diverse range of linen products from the finest Egyptian cotton. The designs used in the Malaika identity were inspired by the cotton flower. A variety of studies were explored before reaching the current identity logo which combines the design of the cotton flower and the lotus flower design used by ancient Egyptians. Similar patterns are used in printed materials with the flower becoming the central image of the store identity. The color palette for these items was developed based on traditional Pharaonic colors including turquoise, gold, white and beige.
